Are your lenses UV protected?
Yes babe, all of our sunnies offer UV protection. Each style has its own specific lens details, so be sure to check the “Shade Specs” section on the product page for the exact protection level of the pair you’re eyeing.
Do your sunglasses meet international safety standards?
Yes. Our sunglasses are designed to meet recognised international UV protection standards, including UV400 protection. Specific lens ratings and details are listed on each product page so you can choose the right pair with confidence.
What are the frames made from?
Our frames vary by style babe. Each pair has its exact materials listed under “Shade Specs” on the product page, so you’ll always know exactly what you’re getting.
Will your sunnies fit my face shape?
Most of our sunnies are designed to suit a wide range of face shapes babe ✨
Each product page includes detailed measurements to help you find the right fit, and we’ve also created a Face Shape Guide to make choosing your perfect pair even easier.

What’s included with my order?
Your sunnies arrive safely packed and ready to wear, babe. Each pair comes with a protective pouch and a microfiber cleaning cloth to keep your shades looking their best.
How do I care for my sunglasses?
Treat your sunnies with a little love babe. Give the lenses a gentle wipe with a soft cloth, avoid harsh cleaners, and don’t leave them sitting in hot cars or direct heat. Storing them safely when you’re not wearing them keeps them looking cute for longer.

Do you offer prescription sunglasses?
Yes babe, we now offer custom lenses for Betty’s frames, including prescription and non-prescription lens options.
You can choose your frame, select your lens type, and enter your prescription details during the ordering process.
Custom lens orders are made to order, so they take a little longer than our standard sunnies.
Which frames can be made with custom lenses?
All Betty’s frames can be made with custom lenses, including prescription lenses.
Just choose your frame, then select your lens type on the product page before checkout.
What custom lens options do you offer?
We offer custom lenses for different needs, including single vision, reading, progressive and non-prescription lenses.
Depending on what you choose, lens options may include clear lenses, blue light lenses, tinted lenses, polarised lenses, photochromic lenses and slimmer lens options.
Available lens options are shown on the product page before checkout.
What if I can’t select the lens option I need?
If you can’t see a suitable lens option during checkout, email us at hello@bettysretroshades.com and we’ll see if we can arrange a custom quote for you.
Please include the frame you’re interested in, the lens type you need, and your prescription details if relevant.
How do I order custom or prescription lenses?
Choose your frame, select your lens type on the product page, then enter your prescription details during the ordering process.
You’ll need to add your prescription information carefully so your lenses can be made correctly.
What prescription details do I need?
You'll need the details from your current prescription, including your sphere, cylinder and axis values where applicable.
Depending on the lens option you choose, you may also need your ADD value.
If your order requires a pupillary distance (PD) measurement, you can use our PD scanner during the ordering process.
Do I need a current prescription?
You’ll need a current prescription if you’re ordering prescription lenses, including single vision or progressive lenses.
If you’re ordering reading lenses or non-prescription custom lenses, you won’t need a full prescription.
Your lenses will be made using the details you enter, so please make sure everything is accurate before placing your order.
How long do custom lens orders take?
Custom lens orders are made to order, so they take a little longer than our standard sunnies.
Please allow around 7–10 business days for your custom lenses to be made before dispatch.
Once your order is on the way, you’ll receive a tracking link by email.
Can I return custom or prescription lenses?
Custom and prescription lenses are made just for you, so they can’t be returned for change of mind.
If there’s an issue with your order, or something doesn’t seem right, contact us with your order number and clear photos so we can help.
Do you check custom lens orders before they’re made?
Yes babe, custom lens orders are checked before they’re made.
If anything looks unclear or we need extra details, we’ll contact you before production starts. Please make sure your email address is correct at checkout so we can reach you if needed.
Can I claim prescription glasses through health insurance?
This depends on your health fund and level of cover.
We can provide your order details, but we can’t guarantee your health fund will approve a claim. If you’re planning to claim, it’s best to check with your provider before ordering.

Do you ship internationally?
Yes babe, we ship from our Melbourne HQ to Australia, the United States, the United Kingdom, the European Union, Canada, New Zealand and Singapore.

How long does dispatch take?
Standard sunglasses are usually dispatched within 24–48 business hours babe.
Custom lens and prescription orders are made to order, so please allow around 7–10 business days before dispatch.
As soon as your order is on the way, you’ll get a shipping confirmation with your tracking link.
How long is delivery within Australia?
We dispatch all orders within 1–2 business days, babe.

Regional and remote areas may take a little longer.

How do I track my order?
Once your order is on the way, you’ll automatically receive a tracking link by email. Just tap the link to follow your sunnies from our place to yours babe. If the email hasn’t arrived, check your spam folder or reach out and we’ll resend it.
⭐ RETURNS & WARRANTY
What is your returns policy?
We offer 30-day change-of-mind returns, babe. Your sunnies just need to be unused, unworn, and in their original packaging.
To start a return, simply submit a request through our Contact page and include your order number so we can assist you quickly.

Who pays for return postage?
For change-of-mind returns, you can use your own postage or request one of our prepaid return labels. If you choose our label, the cost is simply deducted from your refund. Please note, original shipping costs are non-refundable for change-of-mind returns. For faulty or incorrect items, we cover the return shipping babe.
Do you offer exchanges?
Yes babe. The easiest way is to request a return through our Contact page and then place a new order for your preferred style or colour once approved.
Do you offer a warranty?
Yes babe, all our sunnies come with a 12-month warranty covering manufacturing faults. This is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
If something isn’t right, simply submit a request via our Contact page and include your order number and a clear photo of the issue. We’ll take care of the rest.
